Former India opener Aakash Chopra criticised the team management for dropping Nitish Kumar Reddy and Mohammed Siraj from the second ODI against West Indies. He said Reddy needs consistent opportunities to build confidence rather than being rotated in and out of the side. Siraj also remained on the bench despite being available for selection.

Chopra noted that both players were fit and bowling substantial workloads in the nets. He questioned the logic of keeping Siraj in the squad but not playing him when established fast bowlers were unavailable. Reddy had taken one wicket in five overs during the first ODI in Thiruvananthapuram.

India won the match by eight wickets after chasing 406. Shubman Gill scored an unbeaten 223 and Rohit Sharma made 101 to complete the series victory.

CricHubb Take

India's rotation policy risks stalling Reddy's development. Without regular exposure, the all-rounder may struggle to establish himself in the limited-overs setup despite his potential.
