Waqar Younis picks Tendulkar over Inzamam in comparisons
Waqar Younis favoured Indian greats over their Pakistani counterparts in a series of player comparisons.
Waqar Younis selected Sachin Tendulkar over Inzamam-ul-Haq, Virat Kohli over Babar Azam, MS Dhoni over Javed Miandad and Saeed Anwar over Virender Sehwag in a series of player comparisons. He also highlighted MS Dhoni's WhatsApp message to Smriti Mandhana after India's 2025 Women's ODI World Cup win.
Dhoni said he only had Mandhana's number among the women's team players and that the World Cup victory changes how Indian women's cricket moves forward. The former India captain sent the message shortly after the title win. Mandhana shared Dhoni's message with the rest of the squad.
The comments come amid ongoing debate about Babar Azam's role as anchor in Pakistan's T20 setup. Babar Azam has scored 118 runs in four innings without a fifty in the current tri-series.
