6 for 85 — Musheer Khan's all-round display against Haryana
Musheer's 109 and six for 85 represent the first time a Mumbai teenager has achieved both feats in a single Ranji match since the early 1990s.
Musheer Khan scored 109 and took six for 85 as Mumbai enforced the follow-on after Haryana replied with 270 to Mumbai's first-innings 430. The 19-year-old dismissed both openers on the second day and trapped Aman Kumar lbw for a duck to complete his six-wicket haul. Tanush Kotian supported with three for 70 while Shams Mulani also picked up wickets.
Nishant Sindhu scored an unbeaten 105 for Haryana but could not prevent the follow-on. Musheer said he focuses on bowling his stock ball and stopping the flow of runs rather than trying to take wickets with every delivery.
The all-round performance places Musheer among a small group of teenagers to achieve a century and five-wicket haul in the same Ranji match. Mumbai's decision to persist with him despite limited senior opportunities suggests the franchise sees long-term value beyond this season's results.

Mumbai's willingness to blood Musheer at number seven while relying on Kotian for the bulk of the wickets reveals a squad still short of proven middle-order depth for the longer format.
