Musheer takes two wickets after scoring hundred for Mumbai
Musheer’s all-round contribution keeps Mumbai ahead after Haryana lost both openers late on day two.
Musheer Khan followed his first-innings century of 109 with two wickets on the second day as Mumbai reached 430 against Haryana at the Sharad Pawar Academy ground on Tuesday. Haryana finished at 108 for two after Musheer trapped Ankit Kumar lbw and had Himanshu Rana caught at slip by his brother Sarfaraz. Tanush Kotian remained unbeaten on 52 as Mumbai’s lower order added 86 runs.
Mumbai lost three wickets for seven runs in the morning session before Kotian and Tushar Deshpande steadied the innings. Haryana’s openers put on 73 before Musheer struck twice in his first two overs with the ball. The pitch has begun to take spin, which could influence the remainder of the match.
Musheer said he was happy with the hundred but not satisfied, adding that batters in Mumbai are judged by their ability to convert starts into big scores. Haryana need a substantial innings from their middle order to stay in contention.

Haryana still have eight wickets in hand and a chance to bat on a wearing pitch; the middle order must deliver or Musheer’s 109-plus-two could become the match-winning difference.
