Nicholas Pooran smashed 64 off 33 balls with seven sixes as Toronto Sixers posted 110 for 7, then bowled Montreal Royal Tigers out for 94 to win by 16 runs on Tuesday in Vancouver.
Brampton Blitz defended their title with a three-wicket chase of 89 against White Rock Warriors, finishing at 90 for 7 inside nine overs. Mississauga Masters rounded out the men's results, reaching 141 for 5 to beat Vancouver Kings by five wickets while chasing 136.
Vancouver Warriors Women started the women's tournament with a seven-wicket win over Toronto Sixers Women. The six-team event mixes overseas stars with local talent.
