Pakistan named six uncapped players and seven players without Test caps in their squad for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka. The squad includes four additions announced on Saturday: Sameer Minhas, Mohammad Taha, Mohammad Suleman and Ali Shabbir. Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan were left out of the group.

Sameer Minhas, aged 19, has seven first-class matches with an average of 40.50 and three half-centuries. Mohammad Taha, 26, scored 730 runs in seven President's Trophy games at 66.36, including a best of 225. Mohammad Suleman hit three centuries in the President's Trophy, with 182 from number three. Ali Shabbir, also 19, took 22 first-class wickets at 34.54. Arafat Minhas and Saqib Khan completed the additions. Arafat has played seven T20Is and eight ODIs but is yet to make his Test debut.

Pakistan have won only two of their previous nine World Test Championship matches. The first Test begins at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on November 9.
