Afghanistan defeated Zimbabwe by 158 runs in the ODI tri-series at Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Monday. Sediqullah Atal scored 102 off 110 balls and Ibrahim Zadran made 90 as Afghanistan posted 294 before being bowled out in 50 overs.

Rashid Khan took 4 for 17 in eight overs to lead the bowling attack as Zimbabwe were dismissed for 136 in 38.4 overs. Sikandar Raza top-scored with 48, while Ryan Burl and Brian Bennett each made 31.

Ernest Masuku and Brad Evans took three wickets apiece for Zimbabwe. Afghanistan now have their first win of the tri-series.
