Ravindra Jadeja scored his 16th first-class century for Saurashtra in the Ranji Trophy match against Chhattisgarh at Rajkot on Monday. The India all-rounder made 102 off 209 balls before Dharmendrasinh Jadeja caught and bowled him.

He added 205 for the fifth wicket with Prerak Mankad, who made 129, and Saurashtra closed at 392 after Dev Aditya Singh's 6 for 67. Jadeja is using the game to sharpen his red-ball skills before India's two-Test tour of New Zealand.

Chhattisgarh reached 122 for three in reply, Anuj Tiwary unbeaten on 72. The 92nd Ranji Trophy began on October 11.

CricHubb Take

Jadeja's 205-run stand with Mankad hints that Saurashtra may lean harder on the left-arm spinner with the bat this season if the middle order keeps wobbling.
