BCCI to discuss Rohit Sharma's 2027 World Cup future at Mumbai review on Thursday
Rohit Sharma's availability for the 2027 ODI World Cup heads BCCI agenda.
The BCCI will hold a review meeting in Mumbai on Thursday to examine Rohit Sharma's future ahead of the 2027 ODI World Cup. Chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar, head coach Gautam Gambhir and Centre of Excellence chief VVS Laxman are expected to attend.
The agenda also covers player fitness and India's preparations for the tour of New Zealand. Rohit Sharma, 39, has expressed his desire to play at the 2027 tournament, but reports indicate the board and selectors are not aligned on his availability.
Former South Africa cricketer Jonty Rhodes said Sharma's experience would remain an asset for a side that has won the tournament twice.

The meeting will also test whether the board and selectors can reach a common position on selection policy for the next World Cup cycle.
