Abhishek Nayar backs Rohit Sharma after century against West Indies
Abhishek Nayar said Rohit Sharma will respond positively after his 32 in the first ODI against the West Indies.
Abhishek Nayar watched Rohit Sharma make 32 from 35 balls in the first ODI and get out to Alzarri Joseph. Then he watched him score 101 in the second match and lead India to an eight-wicket win in Thiruvananthapuram.
Nayar, the former India all-rounder, told reporters the senior batter had answered any questions about pressure situations. The second ODI in Guwahati was washed out, so the series now hinges on the decider in Chandigarh on October 3.

The question now is whether Rohit can carry that form into the T20 leg that starts two days later. A lean patch in Chandigarh would hand the selectors an awkward decision on how to balance experience against current output.
