Mumbai Indians appoint new coaches for IPL 2027
Mumbai Indians named four new coaches for IPL 2027 while reports point to Rohit Sharma returning as captain and Hardik Pandya possibly leaving the franchise.
Mumbai Indians appointed Robin Uthappa as batting coach, Mitchell McClenaghan as bowling coach, T.K. Dilip as fielding coach and Dhawal Kulkarni as development bowling coach ahead of IPL 2027. Kieron Pollard remains head coach of the franchise.
Reports state that Mumbai Indians are likely to reinstate Rohit Sharma as captain for the 2027 season. Hardik Pandya may be traded or released before the tournament, though he has agreed to play under Sharma if a trade deal does not materialise.
Tilak Varma is also under consideration for the captaincy role.

The appointments and reported captaincy shift suggest Mumbai Indians are preparing a reset after three seasons with Hardik Pandya in charge. The franchise reached the playoffs only once under Pandya and now appears set to restore the previous leadership structure.
