Lasith Malinga, Paras Mhambrey and Carl Hopkinson have left the franchise. Robin Uthappa said the team must earn back fan trust and strike fear at every IPL venue. He views his return to MI as destiny.
The franchise has also decided to appoint Rohit Sharma as captain for the 2027 season. Hardik Pandya is expected to leave before the next season.
