England beat Sri Lanka by 223 runs to win ODI series 2-1

Tom Banton scored 126 off 105 balls as England posted 355 for seven before bowling Sri Lanka out for 132 to win the third ODI by 223 runs at The Oval on Sunday. Banton shared a 150-run stand with captain Harry Brook, who made 77, while Jordan Cox added 76. Liam Dawson took three for 26 as Sri Lanka collapsed inside 30 overs.

The victory gave England a 2-1 series win and their biggest ODI margin against Sri Lanka by runs. Banton reached his hundred in 95 balls, striking 16 fours and five sixes, and said it was a dream to score a century for his country at The Oval.

Sri Lanka had set up the decider with a win on Thursday but could not sustain their effort. Banton may miss England's tri-series in Pakistan next month once Jacob Bethell returns from injury.
