406 million — SA20 lifts South Africa GDP in fourth season

The SA20 pumped 406 million US dollars into South Africa’s economy this season, a 23 per cent rise on last year. Organisers say the tournament supported 9,470 jobs and drew 13 per cent more spectators than the year before. Ticket sales, broadcast rights and corporate partnerships funnelled money into local businesses around the five venues. The numbers cover the 2025-26 season only and exclude spending by visiting teams or media crews.
