8.4 million. Ticket requests for India-Pakistan 2027 World Cup match

Over eight million requests have arrived for the India-Pakistan group match at a 34,000-capacity ground.

Organisers received 8,397,294 ticket requests for the India versus Pakistan match scheduled for October 10, 2027 at Johannesburg's Wanderers stadium. The ground holds 34,000 spectators, creating a significant allocation challenge. The 2027 Men's Cricket World Cup final at the same venue has attracted nearly eight million additional requests.

The ballot window remains open until November 21. Demand for the India-Pakistan fixture already exceeds any single venue's capacity, forcing organisers to consider how to distribute tickets fairly across supporters worldwide.

Cricket South Africa and the International Cricket Council will finalise the allocation process before the ballot closes. The scale of interest highlights the fixture's global commercial value ahead of the tournament.
