Aakash Chopra picks Rinku Singh as KKR captain for IPL 2027

Former India player Aakash Chopra has advocated for Rinku Singh to lead Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2027. Chopra said Singh possesses the character needed for the role.

Chopra has previously backed Delhi Capitals to end their trophy drought and questioned Gujarat Titans' death-over rotation after their loss to Mumbai Indians. He has also argued that Siraj deserved the final over in that match.

KKR are yet to announce their captaincy plans for the 2027 season. Singh has remained with the franchise since his debut in 2020.
