Aaqib Javed calls for PCB inquiry into Imam-ul-Haq injury

Pakistan selector Aaqib Javed has called for an inquiry into how opener Imam-ul-Haq's injury was managed after he did not bat in either innings of the second Test against England at Lord's. Javed questioned the circumstances surrounding the calf injury and said the matter will be investigated. Imam is considering legal counsel to respond to the scrutiny. The probe follows an earlier 2025 investigation that found he had misrepresented an injury on a previous tour, though no ban was imposed at that time. The third Test begins on September 9 at Edgbaston.
