Aaqib Javed calls for inquiry into Imam-ul-Haq injury

Selector Aaqib Javed has called for an official inquiry into opener Imam-ul-Haq's calf injury that ruled him out of batting during the second Test against England at Lord's. Javed said the PCB will investigate how the injury was managed after Imam sustained a low-grade tear during the match.

Imam did not bat in either innings as Pakistan lost by 194 runs. The PCB subsequently sent him and six other players home and recalled replacements for the third Test starting September 9 at Edgbaston.

Javed defended the squad overhaul, stating the incident raised questions about player management on the tour.
