Abhishek Sharma equals Yuvraj's six-hitting record against Pakistan
Abhishek hit seven sixes to match Yuvraj's India-Pakistan T20I record and reached 400 career sixes in the second-fewest balls.
Abhishek Sharma smashed 61 runs off 28 balls with seven sixes in the Asian Games 2026 gold medal match against Pakistan at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin on Saturday. The left-hander reached his fifty in 20 balls and equalled Yuvraj Singh's record for the most sixes by an Indian batter in an India-Pakistan T20I innings.
India posted 211 for six after batting first. Shivam Dube and Tilak Varma added 62 runs in the death overs. Pakistan's Ahmed Daniyal and Arafat Minhas took two wickets each. Abhishek has now hit 104 sixes in T20 cricket in 2026, the second-highest total by an Indian batter in a calendar year.
Abhishek also reached 400 T20 sixes in 3,513 balls, the second-fastest player to the milestone. India will face Pakistan in the final after beating Sri Lanka by 124 runs in the semi-final.
