Abid Mushtaq takes nine wickets as North Zone reaches Duleep Trophy semis

Abid Mushtaq took nine wickets as North Zone defeated West Zone by 52 runs in the Duleep Trophy quarter-final at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. The Jammu and Kashmir all-rounder finished with match figures of 9 for 99.

Mushtaq and fellow left-arm spinner Nishant Sindhu took 6.3 overs to dismiss the West Zone tail on the final morning. The pair bowled on a red-soil pitch that took 25 wickets to spin throughout the match.

North Zone will face either Central Zone or South Zone in the semi-final after advancing with the victory.
