Adil Rashid ruled out of England ODI series against Sri Lanka
Rashid's absence leaves England without their most experienced white-ball spinner for the series.
England leg-spinner Adil Rashid has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka due to a right-hand injury. The 38-year-old sustained the injury while fielding during the third T20I at Old Trafford on Saturday. Rashid underwent scans on Monday and will miss all three ODIs at Chester-le-Street, Headingley and The Oval. He is second on England's all-time ODI wicket-takers list with 243 wickets. Rehan Ahmed replaced Rashid for the first ODI, which England won by 89 runs. Rashid is a two-time World Cup winner with England.
