Ajinkya Rahane backs Anshul Kamboj and Auqib Nabi after debut struggles

Former India batter Ajinkya Rahane said one should not judge Anshul Kamboj and Auqib Nabi based on single performances after both made their ODI debuts against West Indies. Kamboj took 0 for 82 in nine overs on debut while Nabi went for 84 in 8.5 overs in his only match.

Rahane criticised the team's approach of introducing a new player in each match. He said Anshul Kamboj must be wondering when his next chance will come after seeing Nabi dropped immediately after his debut.

Rahane added that consistent opportunities are needed to develop players. He said it is not necessary to bring in a different player for every match when building a squad.
