BCCI to evaluate Ajit Agarkar's position as chief selector at September 3 meeting

The BCCI is set to review Ajit Agarkar's position as chief selector during the September 3 management meeting. Agarkar was appointed to the role on July 4, 2023, and has overseen several selection decisions across formats. The meeting will also cover injury management and India's planning for the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Reports suggest the board wants alignment between Agarkar, head coach Gautam Gambhir and VVS Laxman on long-term strategy. Agarkar's tenure has included multiple limited-overs series against England and Ireland.
