Arshdeep Singh named in North Zone squad for Duleep Trophy
Arshdeep Singh earned selection for North Zone in the Duleep Trophy after missing his Test debut due to injury.
India left-arm pacer Arshdeep Singh was named in the North Zone squad for the Duleep Trophy starting August 23, while Jammu and Kashmir wicketkeeper-batter Kanhaiya Wadhawan was appointed captain of the 15-member team. Haryana pacer Anshul Kamboj was also included in the squad.
Arshdeep, who is a regular in India's white-ball teams, was part of the Test squad during the 2025 tour of England but did not make his red-ball debut because of injury and team combination issues. Six players from Jammu and Kashmir's Ranji Trophy-winning side earned selection alongside Wadhawan.
Delhi has the second-highest representation with opener Sanat Sangwan, former captain Yash Dhull, middle-order batter Ayush Doseja and vice-captain Ayush Badoni included. North Zone will take on West Zone in Match 2 at the COE Ground 1 in Bengaluru for a spot in the semifinal.
