Arshdeep Singh equals Tim Southee record with 65th T20I wicket in powerplay

Arshdeep Singh took his 65th T20I wicket in the first six overs against Finn Allen, matching Tim Southee's record. The left-arm seamer dismissed the New Zealand opener during India's tour match at Seddon Park.

Arshdeep also posted support for girlfriend Samreen Kaur on Instagram after she criticised online trolls. Kaur, who has been financially independent since age 17, said she would block users spreading negativity. Arshdeep replied that he was proud of her strength.

The couple made their relationship public in July. India lost the match by seven wickets.
