Arshdeep Singh uses Duleep Trophy to push for India Test debut
Arshdeep Singh claims four wickets in Duleep Trophy return and reiterates his desire to play Test cricket for India.
Arshdeep Singh took four wickets for North Zone in the Duleep Trophy quarter-final as he seeks to earn an India Test cap. The left-arm pacer has played 18 ODIs and 91 T20Is but remains without a red-ball appearance for the national side.
Singh said he wants to play all three formats and has been working specifically on his red-ball skills during the domestic season. He missed a Test opportunity last year due to injury.
North Zone defeated West Zone by 52 runs to advance in the competition. Singh described his body as sore after the rare first-class outing but expressed satisfaction at contributing to the win.
