Ashwin predicts Bhuvneshwar could earn ODI recall if he impresses in New Zealand

Ashwin believes a successful T20I series could put Bhuvneshwar on the plane to the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Ravichandran Ashwin said Bhuvneshwar Kumar could force his way into India's ODI squad for the 2027 World Cup if he performs well in the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. Bhuvneshwar last played an ODI in January 2022 and has taken 28 wickets in IPL 2026 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Ashwin said the selectors will be watching the 36-year-old closely during the tour.
