BCCI AGM to decide Andaman and Nicobar associate membership
The union territory would join other associate members without voting rights if the proposal passes.
The BCCI will hold its annual general meeting in Mumbai on September 18 with associate membership for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands on the agenda. The proposal had earlier been discussed at an Apex Council meeting. If approved, the union territory would field its own team in domestic competitions but would not receive voting rights. Similar status has already been granted to other union territories. The meeting will also address India’s nomination for the ICC executive board and the election of two General Body representatives to the IPL Governing Council.
