BCCI bans India Under-19 cricketer Rohit Yadav for age fraud

The BCCI imposed a two-year suspension on India Under-19 leg-spinner Rohit Yadav after discovering significant discrepancies in his age verification documents. The ban was announced shortly after his selection for the upcoming one-day and multi-day series against Australia Under-19.

Yadav was named in the squad before the discrepancies came to light. The board acted under its age-verification protocols for junior cricket.

The series against Australia is scheduled later this month. India will name a replacement for the suspended player before the tour begins.
