BCCI defers decision on Agarkar’s future

BCCI vice-president Rajeev Shukla said after the Annual General Meeting that office-bearers have been authorised to decide the future of the senior men’s selection committee. No announcement was made on whether Ajit Agarkar will continue beyond October.

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the board still has 15 days to reach a decision. If Agarkar departs, the post will be advertised and interviews conducted.

Parthiv Patel remains the leading candidate to replace him if a change is made.
