BCCI expands junior selectors' role to include drug and betting education

The BCCI has asked members of the Junior Cricket Committee to educate young players on the risks of drugs, betting and match-fixing. Applications for the expanded role close on September 5.

The committee previously handled only age-group selection. Now members must run awareness sessions at state academies and national camps.

The move comes after recent cases involving under-19 players in state leagues. The Board hasn't released details of any specific incidents.
