The BCCI pushed the IPL retention deadline from November 15 to November 17. All ten franchises got the notice on November 2.

The original deadline fell on the same day as India's fifth ODI against New Zealand at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui. The mini-auction is set for December 16 in Goa. Player registration closes November 23, and teams must lock in their final squad choices by December 1. The final auction list comes out December 3.
