BCCI president says fitness and performance will decide Kohli and Rohit selection
BCCI president Mithun Manhas said selection for the 2027 ODI World Cup hinges on fitness and performance, not age. He spoke to Sportstar.
Manhas added that Kohli and Rohit can ease Shubman Gill's move into leadership, and their presence with Jasprit Bumrah spreads the load across batting, bowling and fielding. Kohli has scored 307 runs in his last five ODI innings at an average of 76.75, while Rohit has made 389 runs at 77.80.
India start a five-match T20I series in New Zealand on Thursday, followed by five ODIs and two Tests.
