BCCI president says Pakistan no longer offers India much competition
Manhas criticised the declining quality of India-Pakistan matches while lauding the Indian team's performance under pressure.
BCCI president Mithun Manhas said Pakistan no longer offers India much competition after the men's cricket team retained their Asian Games gold with a 19-run win over the arch-rivals in Nisshin on Saturday. Manhas praised the Indian team for handling pressure situations in a manner he believes few teams in the world could match.
Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma were the standout performers with both batters scoring fifties. Manhas said India's batting had been tremendous and credited the entire bowling unit for defending a good total.
The victory marked India's seventh successive T20I win over Pakistan since 2021.
