BCCI re-elects Arun Dhumal and Khairul Jamal Majumdar ahead of IPL 2027

The BCCI re-elected Arun Dhumal and Khairul Jamal Majumdar to the IPL Governing Council at its 95th Annual General Meeting in Mumbai on September 18. They'll oversee preparations for the 20th season in 2027.

Dhumal, who served as BCCI treasurer, has chaired the council since 2022. Majumdar speaks for Mizoram and gives the smaller state associations a seat at the table. Both ran unopposed.

The board also agreed to mark the milestone season with a series of celebratory events. The IPL started in 2008 with eight teams and now has ten after Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants joined in 2022.
