Japan Cricket Association says teams free to arrange own hotels for Asian Games

The Japan Cricket Association said teams may arrange their own accommodation for the Asian Games cricket event after India and Pakistan raised concerns over facilities. The association rejected claims about toilet arrangements and defended the official options provided.

The men's and women's cricket competitions run from 24 September to 3 October in Aichi-Nagoya. India enters as defending men's T20 champion under Shreyas Iyer and as defending women's champion under Harmanpreet Kaur.

VVS Laxman will coach the Indian men's side after the BCCI named him head coach for the tournament. Gautam Gambhir remains with the senior team for the West Indies ODI series.
