BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia says Indian cricket remains unpredictable for Rohit Sharma

BCCI honorary secretary Devajit Saikia said Indian cricket is unpredictable and Rohit Sharma's future could change at any time despite current assurances. Saikia spoke after a review meeting in Mumbai that Sharma did not attend.

The selectors must decide whether Sharma stays in the ODI setup ahead of the 2027 World Cup. The three-match series against West Indies starting September 27 offers the first clear window.

Saikia acknowledged that excessive cricket is hurting players but offered no timeline for a final decision on Sharma's role.
