BCCI seeks sports science head for Centre of Excellence

The BCCI is seeking a candidate to head sports science at its Centre of Excellence. The role has gained importance as player workload, injuries and rehabilitation become central to the board's planning.

The appointment comes as the board works to address frequent injuries across formats. Saikia said the BCCI is trying to find ways to avoid player injuries through better scheduling.

The next Future Tours Programme will include measures to ensure players receive adequate rest and recovery time between series. The board aims to build proper acclimatisation and practice matches into tours to SENA countries.
