BCCI to seek government approval for Bangladesh white-ball tour
The BCCI will wait for government clearance before agreeing to resume bilateral cricket with Bangladesh.
The BCCI won't confirm a white-ball tour of Bangladesh until it gets directions from the Indian government. A board official made that clear — the series happens only if New Delhi signs off.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board has stayed in touch since Tamim Iqbal took over as president, pushing for a window between late August and mid-September. But relations have been frayed for over a year, and recent political shifts have narrowed the chances further.
India were scheduled for three T20Is and three ODIs there in 2025 before the trip was put off. The Bangladesh women's tour to India was also shelved, and ties soured more when Kolkata Knight Riders were told to release Mustafizur Rahman from their IPL squad.
