BCCI will consider moving Duleep Trophy final to a stadium

BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia said the board will look at shifting the Duleep Trophy final out of the Centre of Excellence and into a proper stadium. The 2026-27 domestic season begins with the Duleep Trophy from August 23 to September 10 at the CoE, but government rules keep spectators out.

Saikia told reporters that only people connected to the teams can enter, while general crowds stay locked out. The board has already increased the number of live-televised matches this season so fans still get some access.

Suggestions for a stadium venue are being invited, and a call can still be made before the final.
