Bhuvneshwar Kumar says he is ready for India recall

Bhuvneshwar Kumar has stated he is available for selection if India calls him up for any upcoming series, including the 2027 ODI World Cup. The veteran pacer is currently leading Lucknow Falcons in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League that begins on August 14.

Kumar took 28 wickets in IPL 2026 for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and guided the side to its second consecutive title. He has not played for India since a T20I in November 2022. Several former players have advocated his return given the injury concerns among the current pace attack.

Kumar said his focus remains on playing cricket rather than positioning himself for selection. He added that the selectors will decide his readiness and that he will continue to play as much domestic cricket as possible.
