Bombay High Court makes non-vegetarian tea remark in MCA cockroach case
Court uses non-vegetarian tea reference while ordering MCA to clean cockroach-infested eateries before re-inspection.
The Bombay High Court asked, half in jest, whether cricketers knew they were consuming non-vegetarian tea. The remark surfaced during hearings over cockroaches found in five MCA facilities.
The court ordered fresh FDA inspections once cleaning is done. Food outlets at the venues stay shut until the association complies.
Licences for all five outlets remain suspended. The next hearing is set for later this week.
