Bombay High Court questions MCA over cockroaches in association eateries
Court questions food safety standards at MCA facilities after cockroach discovery leads to licence suspension.
The Bombay High Court wanted to know if cricketers realised they had been drinking non-vegetarian tea. Cockroaches had turned up in the kitchens of five Mumbai Cricket Association eateries, and the Maharashtra FDA had already pulled their licences.
The court has ordered fresh inspections once the premises are cleaned. MCA runs food outlets at venues across the city, and these are the same facilities players use during domestic matches and training.
The hearing resumes later this week.
