Brian Devine receives two-year ban from all cricket

Brian Devine, aged 38, received a two-year ban from all cricket after an incident in the North Yorkshire and South Durham Cricket League. Footage of him allegedly clicking his fingers to fake an edge went viral in July. The ECB imposed the sanction following an investigation.

Saltburn CC's second XI was relegated and fined. The club also received a 60-point deduction for the next season. The team accepted the penalties handed down by the governing body.

The relegation and points deduction will affect Saltburn CC's standing in the regional league structure for the coming campaign.
