Brian Lara backs Imran Khan, calls for dignity and proper care

Brian Lara has joined other former captains in asking Pakistan authorities to arrange independent medical checks for Imran Khan and make sure the former prime minister gets proper care while he remains in custody.

Khan's supporters say his vision has deteriorated, and Lara and Pat Cummins have pressed the point that treatment shouldn't wait for the outcome of the corruption case. Khan denies the charges, which his backers call politically driven.
