Brisbane Heat sign Irish all-rounder Prendergast

Brisbane Heat have signed Irish all-rounder Orla Prendergast for WBBL|12, marking the franchise's first Irish player. The signing adds depth to the Heat's overseas options ahead of the tournament.

Jemimah Rodrigues and Nadine de Klerk are not expected to return to the Heat this season. Prendergast will join the squad once her international commitments allow.

The move reflects the WBBL's continued push to attract talent from associate nations. Prendergast's all-round skills give the Heat flexibility in both batting and bowling departments.
