Bumrah cleared to play Afghanistan T20Is after knee injury recovery
Jasprit Bumrah cleared for Afghanistan T20Is after recovering from left-knee injury that sidelined him since July.
Jasprit Bumrah has been cleared to play India's Afghanistan T20I series starting September 13 after recovering from a recurring left-knee injury. The BCCI confirmed his fitness along with Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy.
Bumrah has been out of action since India's ODI tour to England in July. He missed the Test series against Sri Lanka while managing the knee issue that has troubled him periodically throughout his career.
The three-match T20I series begins in Delhi on September 13 before India travels to Japan for the Asian Games. Bumrah will join the squad after missing several weeks of international cricket.
