Cameron Green progressing well but uncertain for second Test

Green's fitness remains in doubt while Inglis returns to the squad ahead of the second Test.

Australia all-rounder Cameron Green is recovering well from injury but remains uncertain for the second Test against South Africa starting in Gqeberha. Team officials said Green is progressing in his rehabilitation but no timeline has been confirmed for his return.

Reserve wicketkeeper Josh Inglis has rejoined the squad after recovering from a fractured finger sustained in the first ODI. Inglis missed the first Test and the preceding ODI series but has resumed net sessions.

Australia lead the three-match series 1-0 after their 214-run victory in Durban. The second Test begins on October 17.
