Chad Laycock takes five wickets in one over in South African T20 match

Chad Laycock claimed five wickets in a single over for KZN Inland against the Titans in the Pro20 Cup. The fast bowler dismissed Leus du Plooy, Dayyaan Galiem, Aphiwe Mnyanda, Janco Smit and Esosa Aihevba in the 19th over to finish with career-best figures of six for 26 from four overs. Titans were bowled out for 204 after reaching 193 for four.

Laycock had earlier removed Lhuan-dre Pretorius for 81 in the ninth over. He remained unbeaten on 31 in the chase but KZN Inland fell short by 21 runs. The performance made Laycock the fourth bowler to take five wickets in an over in men's T20 cricket and the first from South Africa.

Laycock has now played 16 T20 matches, taking eight wickets at an average of 13.50 since his debut in November 2024.
