Chinmay Sutar scored an unbeaten 400 for Mizoram, the second Indian to achieve the feat in first-class cricket.

Mizoram batsman Chinmay Sutar scored an unbeaten 400 against Nagaland in a Ranji Trophy Plate match at Sovima on Monday, becoming only the second Indian to reach the milestone in first-class cricket. Sutar faced 517 balls, hitting 46 fours and seven sixes, before Mizoram declared at 581 for nine. He joined Bhausaheb Nimbalkar, who scored 443 not out for Maharashtra in 1948-49, as the only Indians with a 400-plus first-class innings. Sutar had made his first-class debut only last week and reached 392 by tea before completing the landmark in the 155th over. Nagaland reached 50 for one in reply.
